About us
Our guesthouse is located in the center of the village, right at the foot of Szigliget Castle and
the old town. It is accessible via a paved road and just a few minutes’ walk from the bus
stop.
A cozy, private apartment house that captivates at first sight.
While the exterior of the building features traditional elements, the interior has been
stylishly renovated to provide a comfortable stay for a few days.
The guesthouse was renovated in the summer of 2023.

Our second family apartment, suitable for 2 guests, is located on the ground floor and opens
from the staircase. It consists of an open-plan ground floor and attic space, a kitchenette,
and a shower.

Our guesthouse is ideal for family holidays, gatherings of friends, and as accommodation
during Balaton bike tours.
The garden is perfect for relaxed outdoor grilling, peaceful evening chats with friends, or
enjoying a delicious, shared breakfast.
On request, we can provide a gas-powered garden grill for a perfect barbecue experience.
A playground and a pharmacy are located nearby. Several restaurants, cafés, ice cream
parlors, and breakfast spots are just a short walk away. The nearby Pipitér Alley offers a
year-round outdoor exhibition for visitors.

the Szigliget Castle, the annually renewed outdoor exhibition in Pipitér Alley, the Castle Café,
and the Castle Courtyard with its wide food selection and cultural family programs. Nearby
you'll also find Kenyérbár and the small restaurant of Attila Bakos—but let’s not forget the
most important feature: LAKE BALATON, with the shady Szigliget beach offering a great place
to relax.
Szigliget Castle
With a history spanning 750 years, Szigliget Castle is one of Hungary's most visited and rightfully popular castles, located on the northern shore of Lake Balaton. Bordered by the lake to the south and the peat fields and hills of Tapolca to the north, the majestic ruins are visible from all directions as you approach Szigliget.
Ruins of Avasi Church (also known as the "Csonka Tower")
This is perhaps the oldest surviving structure in Szigliget. Excavations in 1958 revealed remnants of a Roman-era building on the site—specifically, walls of the church nave connected to the tower—proving its ancient origins.
Óvár Lookout
The Óvár Lookout Tower stands on the ruins of one of Szigliget’s nearly forgotten castles. From the top, you can enjoy stunning views of Lake Balaton and the Badacsony hill.
Holy Trinity Chapel
Located in one of the most beautiful spots in Szigliget, this chapel—affectionately known by locals as the “Little Chapel”—was built by local vineyard owners in the 1840s in classical style. It was completed in 1846 and dedicated to the Holy Trinity.
